Edit email campaign

To view and edit data of earlier created campaign, go to section «Create/Send» and click on the needed campaign.

On the page of information about the campaign presented all previously listed data of campaign.

On the page of information about the campaign you can:

  1. Change the data of the campaign;
  2. Change the template;
  3. Change the contents of the campaign;
  4. Change the schedule of the campaign.

To see how looks your message click «Send» and in the next window click on «Preview».

To check how looks your message in the mail box, please use the form «Send Test To». To do this click on button «Send» and in the next window in the field «Send Test To» enter the address on which you want to send a test message and click «Send».

Remember that when you open/edit the properties listed above, the status of the campaign, which was placed in the schedule is changed to «Pause». For such campaign after all the changes, necessary in the section «Schedule» click on button «Resume».

Adding an image to email message

Adding WEB LOCATED images to email message

1. Open a web page with an image that you are interested and copy the address of the image, by click on the right mouse button and select «Copy image URL».

2. In the html-editor of the campaign in the visual editing click «Insert Image».

In the next window paste the url of the image into the field «Image Src», if necessary set size of the image and replacement text (alt=””).

Or just on the web-page copy the image and paste it in the editor of the campaign.

If all actions is done correctly, then you can immediately see the image in the edit message.

Adding images located on your computer to email message

1. In the html-editor of the campaign in the visual editing click «Image Manager».

2. In the window of image manager use the «Upload» button to download image. When the images are loaded, use the «Insert» button to add them to the message.

If all actions is done correctly, then you can immediately see the image in the edit message.

In the names of the images you can not use cyrillic characters.

Email message personalization

To appeal in the message to each subscriber by name you can use markers of personalization. And it is very easy.

To personalize a message of campaign in the campaign editor, set the cursor to the place where should appear a personal data from the profile of subscriber and select from the toolbar option «Personalization» and in the drop-down menu select the subscriber profile data, which should be added to the message.

When you select the field «First Name» in the body of the message where you set the cursor will appear variable — [% FirstName%], instead of which when you will send your campaign will be substituted the value of name of subscriber to whom you send your campaign.

Analogically, you can add to the message last name (variable — [% LastName%]). You can insert markers of personalization for all values ​​of the profile of the subscriber.

Markers can be added as in the text and in the html, for example, to set a unique parameter of the link.

Names and last names must be specified in the data of subscribers before you will send your campaign. To upload or update data of subscribers, include names and last names on the mail lists, you can use the function of import data from xls, xml or csv files or edit data of subscribers one by one in the section «Mail lists».

Formatting

To format the title of personalization highlight the marker or all text which include personalization and set formatting options.

Example:

  1. Allocation of marker bold
    Hello, [%FirstName%] !
  2. Formatting of entire row with a marker personalization bold, italic
    Hello, [%FirstName%] !

When you format your messages, please, make sure, that is in html format you not changed the marker of personalization.

Testing

Since the test messages sends not to the subscribers in the mail list, instead of the markers can't be substituted the values of the field ​​for personalize the message for particular subscriber. Therefore, in a test messages displayed yourself markers personalization.

Already in the campaign, if, for example, in the field «Name» is set a value it will be substituted instead of marker personalization for the field «Name», and if the value of the field «Name» is not found, then marker and value in the message for this subscriber will not be displayed.

You can check the work markers of personalization by send the campaign to your test mail list with the subscribers in profile data of who specified the needed field of personalization.

Send test messages and campaign preview (web-version)

To preview your campaign, on the planning page you can use the function preview and send a test message.

To do this go to section «Create/Send» and click on «Create Campaign»

In the opened window, in the field «Mail List» choose your mail list, then enter the subject of the message and enter the text of your message and click «Send».

In the next window, click on the «Preview».

Or on this page in the field «Send Test To», enter the address on which you want to send a test message and click «Send».

Clone email campaign

The clone function creates a new campaign with the same content and parameters as the existing campaign.

You can clone a sent campaigns and drafts campaigns.

Cloning campaigns from draftS

To clone a campaign, which has the status «Draft», go to the section «Create/send» and opposite the campaign click on «Clone».

Then, if necessary change the name of your campaign and click on «Save».

In the opened window, you can set your campaign in schedule for a particular time or send it immediately.

If you need to change message or any settings of your campaign, click on the «Edit message and settings».

Cloning FROM sent campaigns (Analytics)

To clone the sent campaign, go to section «Analytics» and opposite the needed campaign click on the «Clone».

Then, if necessary change the name of your campaign and click on «Save».

In the opened window, you can set your campaign in schedule for a particular time or send it immediately.

If you need to change message or any settings of your campaign, click on the «Edit message and settings».

Add social bookmark links to email message

Social links allows subscribers to share content of the campaign in social networks Vkontakte, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Livejournal, Google +.

To add a social links in the message in campaign editor use the option «Social Links».

After you click on the link «Social Links» option will be «Social Links (on).» and in your message will be added a social links.

Sending files in email campaign

We do not support file atachments to campaign messgaes because attachment can affects badly campaign delivery speed and delivery rates because all messages become a subject of much longer anti-virus checks. In addition today many subscribers read messges on their mobile devices and if you attach files it may take longer for them to upload your messages. But there's a great and modern alternative approach to attachments — everyone who is interested in your file can use a download link if you privide it in your message. And It's simple to organise

1. just upload your file to:

  • your website public directory
  • file storage account as Google Docs, Dropbox, Yandex Disk or any other that allowes public access to your file and share it.

2. add to your message link to shared file

After steps from above such file can be downloaded from link in your message and all file downloads will be tracked and personalized in campaign analytics.

RSS to email campaign

RSS campaign of service allowed to automatize the sending of RSS-feed news of any site by chosen mail list.

RSS campaign formed as well as a usual campaign, but in the body of the message you must add marker: RSSFEED_BODY :. To add a marker in the campaign editor on the toolbar in pull-down menu «Links» select «RssBody».

Instead of this marker service will substitute the contents of RSS-feed of site. To add a link to the RSS-feed of your site click the button «Send» in the opened window, you can enter your link and set the frequency of RSS-campaign.

Links to RSS of your site or site from RSS-feed of which you want to send news to your subscriber, should be known to you to create a RSS-campaign. Usually a link of RSS-feed of site you can clarify with webmaster or the creator of the site if it isn't available on the site.

Email campaign public feed (archive)

Email campaign public feed (archive) allows you to provide to your subscribers access to the content of any of your campaigns on one page and opportunity to receive your messages not only by email but also in the format of RSS-broadcast.

On the page of web-version of the campaign over the message is situated a menu that allows to the subscriber go to the public feed, in which can displayed an archive of all or some of the campaigns of sender for a specific list.

When you click on button «RSS» on the web-version of the campaign is opened public feed in format of RSS-broadcast, on which you can subscribe using any program for the RSS read.

You can copy the link to the pages of your RSS-feed and send them in a letter to your subscribers or post them on your site.

In the public feed displays only those campaign, which are marked with a star on the page of «Analytics».

You can change the status of the campaign «In the public feed» when you create a campaign. To do this in the campaign editor choose the option «Not in public feed».

Or by click on the star in the field «Public feed» in the section «Analytics».

Campaign web-version

For each sent campaign is saved a web-version of its content on the site.

Link on the web-version of the message is added to each message in case of wrong displayed of html-messages in mail client of your subscriber.

When you add a links to the web-version of the message in its contents, additional link of the web-version isn't added to the message. To add a web-version of the message in the content of campaign in the campaign editor on the toolbar in pull-down menu «Links» select «Web-version».

Web-version of the campaign is available on the link unlimited time.

You can open a web-version of your campaign by click on the link «Web-version of the campaign» on page analytics of the campaign.

Domain hosting authorization

Post authorization of campaign allows to process the analytics of the campaign via server FEEDGEE.

The option value «Authorization» you can set on the editor page of the campaign (available for paid users).By default, email authentication is always on.

Disable of mail authentication is recommended only if you set special individual mail settings for the domain in the sender address on the servers of the service.

Enable of authorization or set of settings allows you to see the reasons of non-delivery in the interface of section Analytics for each campaign and get subscribers who weren't able to get the message for some reasons.

Message with disabled of authorization go without adding the standard configuration of the service and can't be delivered to subscribers, if you haven't made special individual email settings.

How to delete a campaing

To delete a campaign in section Create/Send click on the Delete in a row with campaign name.
It's possible to delete only not sent campaigns. Sent campaigns can be moved from Important to Trash in Analytics section only.

Creating email campaign with dynamic content in a Drag and Drop editor

Before sending messages with dynamic content

Important! So that conditions of dynamic content works correctly remember to update fields with subscribers data, which you use in conditions before sending messages.

In the conditions, are used the same fields as for personalization and segmentation — Name, Gender, Age, City and any other fields which you have created when upload the file with subscriber addresses.

You can fill/update fields by re-importing from Excel, CSV file, API or manually in the profile of each subscriber.

Subscribers field

To prepare a campaign with the conditions of the displaying content, you can use two options for creating conditions. The first one in the Block Editor by setting the Conditions for the block, the second — by setting the conditions manually in the content and HTML.

To create a message with dynamic content, click on Create Campaign and choose the editor. If you have chose a text/HTML editor, read about Creating email campaign with dynamic content in a text and HTML editor.

Creating conditions of the displaying content in the Block editor

In the block editor you can create rules ща displaying content blocks, indicate the conditions in the setting of the Condition block.

In the settings tab of the Conditions block click on «+" to add the condition of display for the block.

Adding conditions of the display

In our example, we use field Gender to show a block with content which intended for recipients — female. For this, in the condition, we set Gender is equally female (Gender = female). The contents of this block will be displayed in the message to subscribers who have the value «female» in the field Gender . All other subscribers from the list who have a different value in the field Gender or not have value this block in the letter won’t be.Choosing conditions

If you need to display another block of content to subscribers — men and to those who don’t have a values in the field gender, then in this block you just need to add condition Gender is not equal to the female (Gender ≠ female).

Note! For one block, you can specify several conditions for several fields. In this case, the content of the block will be displayed, if all conditions are fulfilled for the subscriber tigether (Logic «AND»).

For example, Gender = male, Hobby = tourism, Age > 30

For a subscriber in who At which all values of the indicated fields match, the content will be displayed.

To check how works your conditions, create a test mail list with your test addresses, fill in the fields you need for them and send a campaign for this list.

You can add conditions of displaying content to any parts of the text in the content and HTML.

For example, using conditions you can substitute the correct version of the treatment Dear or Hello, if you don’t know the gender of the recipient.

[% FirstName%] - marker of personalization for displaying the value of the field «Name” if the value is saved the subscriber profile. More about personalization.

To do this, in the text of the message you must specify the conditions in this way.

You can also specify conditions similarly in the HTML layout for displaying and hiding parts of HTML. In this case, we recommend concluding the conditions in the comment tags <!-- |*IF: Gender=Conditions *| -->Show Content<!-- |*END: IF*| --> so that presence of condition markers in the visual editor doesn’t affect on the presentation of the contents of the message during editing and viewing.

Working with Video block in Drag and Drop editor

Not many popular email programs and services allow you to show video in email. Most of the videos will show a picture with an error (fallback image).

Solve this problem you can by placing a picture in the message that looks similar to a not started video with the Play button. To this picture added the link on the video and the subscriber by clicking on Play goes by link to watch the video.

To add YouTube videos to a message, select the Video block in the Drag and Drop editor.

Choosing a Video block

In the Content of block in the Enter YouTube Video URL paste the link on video from YouTube and click on Generate to generate the picture with the button Play .

In the field Enter Image Alt text box, add a short description of the video. This text will be visible to the subscriber if images aren't displayed in the mail program.

If necessary, set the width/height of the image and edit the image by clicking on Edit.

Settings of the Video block

In the Styles setup, you can specify the top and bottom indents and select the background color.
